Gardening though seems to be an easy work, but when done, requires a lot of hard work. Keeping the garden beautiful is not easy, but by following simple tips it can be maintained easily. It is not always required to spent two to three hours daily on the garden n a daily basis; what’s more important is to follow simple and smart rules to keep it in good shape.

The basic rule that one must follow while dealing with grass is that it should be allowed for a while and only after the all patches of bare land are covered with grass should it be cut. Hence by growing the garden grass one can save the time to keep the grass in a good shape. The grass after growing to a certain height stops growing further> thus one should select a type of grass that takes a long time to grow.
The best way to maintain the garden is to allow the grass to grow. Doing so has a number of advantages> Firstly after a certain growth, the grass’s growth slows down. Secondly long grasses do not allow the moisture in the soil to evaporate easily. Hence it saves the time required to water the grass. Also the green grass spreads uniformly over the ground if allowed to grow and hence the dirty brown patches are removed providing a smooth look to the garden. Thirdly growing long grasses culminates the growth of weeds, and eliminates the requirement of weed control.

One must not scalp the lawn when the time comes to cut the lawn care as scalping stresses the turf and encourages the growth of weed. While removing a weed one must remove the weed and not a valuable plant. One must not also walk in the garden beds and must try to limit the amount of walking as walking is believed to compact the spoil which prevents the gradual development of the plants.
Besides that the bunch of ugly dirt, which is left over after working on the wet soil, is hardly ideal for the growth of plants. One should not over work the soil as over working destroy the consistency of the soil.
